``````` Technology will be used in our classroom often to complete assignments```````      As stated in the previous post, we will be doing multiple project-based assignments throughout the course. They will be completed with the assistance of technology for research, compiling data, and presentation. Students will have the option to fulfill these requirements without cutting-edge technology if they would prefer to go to a library for research and make a physical presentation board using more 'traditional' methods.      Technology use will be evaluated with smaller assignments that build into the more long-term projects. These smaller assignments are designed to assist you with planning and time management, and will be completed with services such as Google Docs, PowerPoint, Prezi, Word, and YouTube. Teaching Philosophy

  Philosophy of Teaching Statement I plan on utilizing social reconstructivism as my primary form of teaching. I believe that education should be used to make positive change in the world, and from what I’ve witnessed and experienced in my life in this society, we are in desperate need of positive change. During my first semester in college, I took a sociology class that really broadened my field of vision. There are things going on in the background of our lives that I was completely unaware of until Dr. Salerno taught us. My goal is to shed a similar light on these problems and guide my students to come up with modern solutions. Some of the areas I would like to discuss with my class can be broken up into four groups: social inequities, the environment, government impact, and community outreach.  WELCOME CLASS    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hello class and welcome to English 101! I will be your teacher for the term, you can call me Mr. Goldstein, or Mr. G for short.  In this class we will look at different pieces of classical literature, analyze some poetry, and write an essay (the topic will be revealed soon!). A little more about me: I was born and raised in South Florida but spend a lot of time with my family in New York City. I have two cats named Splooty and Sterling, and one dog whose name is Nala. I have a bachelor's degree in English language and literature from Broward College Florida, and a master's in education from Rutgers University in New Jersey.                                                                                   ...
